Keep the interactive theater alive!

Hello hello TOMers! Remember our big plans for next season, The Mini Musicals?? Well, we’ve run our bank account to the ground and could use a little funding – help us out and we’ll give you sweet perks in return! We’ve set up an IndieGoGo campaign to raise much needed monies for equipment like a new tripod, costume supplies, a new light kit, and much more fun (but uber costly) stuff. Check out the video below for more on how to help us out!

In a theater environment where Broadway tickets are in the hundreds of dollars and new musicals with original music are a rare find, we’ve taken up the task of providing new musical theater on YouTube for free. Beyond sharing the product, we also provide a means of experiencing the creation process for musical theater mavens around the world.

Last semester, our focus was on quantity. We produced 10 episodes in 10 weeks, but this semester, we want to meet the demands of our viewing audience, by providing them with higher production quality and making their wildest musical theater dreams come true. Through 10-15 minute musicals based on topics suggested by our audience, we will meet our goal of interactivity and original musical content at an exciting new level.

What We Need

These are some estimated costs (on the conservative side) of what we expect to spend in order to produce the Mini Musicals. We feel that purchasing these items will substantially increase our production quality and potential without breaking the bank.

Light Kit …………………… $995

Light Gels ………………… $20

Camera Stabilizer ……… $200

External Hard Drive …… $150

Printing Costs …………… $40

Boom Mic ………………… $400

Costume Supplies …….. $400

Tripod ……………………… $200

Wood ………………………. $100

Paint ……………………….. $100

Construction Supplies .. $100

Logic Studio …………….. $499

Props ……………………… $150

(If we reach our secondary goal of $4000 we will also purchase an MPC Sequencer at $999)

In the event that we raise more money than projected, we will be completely transparent about where we spend that as well (trust us, there’s more than enough other stuff we could buy to make these productions awesome!) If we don’t meet our $3000 target, we will still put out the best possible Mini Musicals we can with the donations we receive. The only thing that will be affected is the number of Mini Musicals we will be able to produce. No matter what, we will put every dollar raised to work!

Don’t have any spare change to give? Don’t worry, don’t worry we won’t strand you. Your viewership and promotion still means the world to us. We can always use help spreading the word about our project, especially now as we seek donations.

One of the best ways to help spread the world is to tell IndieGoGo to feature our page! All it takes is a simple click and BAM you’ve helped us immensely! Click here to go to our page and feature us!
